YUMMY EATS 2013! AN EATING & COOKING AFFAIR.
Every year I always anticipate the best for this event and it never failed to make my tummy happy each year. Yummy eats 2013 was held at the BGC tent, larger and cooler than the previous locations and definitely the restaurant/food products were a lot better, too.
I walked my way through 56++ stalls taking photos, having smll talks with the owners and of course sampling their food. There were those who had surely captured my attention would really look for their place and try out their whole menu, it was Sugar Bee, Choco atbp & Mad Meats Bacon to name a few. There were also some that had a bit uhhh… okay let’s just say I didn’t like what they offered.
My top 6 food stalls that had put me on a food coma during that day.
M A D Meats Bacon: True dry-cured, home-smoked and hand-sliced bacon No MSG, no extras, no screwing around, no more, no less.
Sugar Bee: Shit goddamn! Shit goddamn! No words can define my love for their confectioneries! refer to the photos above to see what I’m talking about.
Cupcake Lab: experiments aim to come up with perfect combinations of cupcake and frosting textures and flavors. We are not your regular cute and kiddie cupcakes. We introduce cupcake lovers to a more intense cupcake experience while we also convert dessert connoisseurs into cupcake believers.
Munchster Yum: Munchies are soft, chewy, and deliciously baked pancake cookies. A tasty treat during snacks or desserts, that would definitely satisfy your hungry tummy may it be served hot or cold. A WTF! moment had occurred to me as I munch on their munchies, so gooood!
Alchemy: quality pastries without digging in too much from customers’ pockets. Macarons are known to be notoriously pricey, but our goal is to stay competitive with pricing while still creating something authentic that dessert connoisseurs would appreciate. HANDS DOWN!
Manila Q’s Bagwang: Best known for its Bagwang, a cross between bacon, chicharon, and fried liempo.
